Chris Worden is the worst!
I'm not kidding, this guy is awful.  He could play poker against a table saw and still lose.

He's also a horrible Halo player.  Now that I really think about it, he's pretty much bad at everything.  Here's a list of the things he sucks at, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

-Being funny
-Wearing reasonable looking outfits
-Not being white trash
-Driving at an acceptable speed
-Raising a child who doesn't bite

My trip to Turning Stone
So I went out to Turning stone a couple weeks ago to catch a Weird Al concert, which by the way was a pretty good show.  After the show I decided to hit up the poker room.  I guess its been awhile since I've been to TS because when I went looking for the poker room, it had disappeared!  Who knew they moved it?  Probably a lot of people, but I wasn't one of them.

Anyway, the new poker room is nice, a lot nicer and much less smokey than the previous room that was surrounded by one big wall of smoke.  Another thing I noticed is that there seems to be absolutely no turnover at that place.  It'd been at least a couple years since I'd been there, and I recognized every dealer in the room.  They must be making a killing.

I decided to play some limit.  Figured for $100 I could play all night.  Nope.  The whole evening just reminded me of what a bullshit game low limit holdem is.  I got sucked out on more times than I can count.  People with 2-8, 3-7, any kind of horrible hand you can think of would stick it out to the river to catch straights, lousy flushes, a little bit of everything.  That kind of nonsense will make someone go on tilt pretty quickly, and therefore, I was out of the game pretty quickly.  I either need to sharpen my skills or start playing a no limit game.

Anybody check out the clock in the meantime?  Anyone??!?!?!  If you've used it for your home game and liked it, let me know.  If you didn't like it, let me know that too, I can take it.  I've been using it for a couple games and so far its doing pretty well.  I've fixed quite a few bugs since its initial release, and on my own PC I've replaced all the sounds with clips from Mario Kart.  If you're wondering how to do the same, just replace the .wav files in the C:\Program Files\Poker-Clock\Sounds folder.  Make sure you replace them with .wav's though, or it won't work.  And make sure you keep the file names the same.

Coming soon... A new look!
The poker clock is getting a face lift.  Maybe some day it will even get a real name so it can grow up and become a real boy!  Anyway...  Its in the hands of a designer now, an excellent designer at that!  I expect it to have a new look within the next couple weeks or so.  Initially it will only show up if you're running your screen at 1024x768.  If you're running at any other resolution you'll see the same boring black background that you've always seen.  The rest will be done eventually, but because the background is basically one big image, they all have to be created by hand.  If anyone has any better ideas, let me know!

I'm also in the process of fixing a few bugs I came across.  Four bugs actually.  If you notice any in your travels, let me know and I'll clear them up!
